Supporting Your Mental Health

In the UK it is reported that at least 1 in 4 people will experience some type of mental health condition in their life.

Everybody responds differently to the stresses and strains of modern life and it is common to describe ourselves as ‘depressed’, ‘stressed’ or ‘anxious’ at times. For some, these feelings can become serious enough to make it difficult to carry on with normal daily activities.

The cause may not necessarily be work-related. Staff may experience difficulties outside the workplace such as bereavement, financial problems, relationship breakdown or other family problems.

MacIntyre has now partnered with Mindful Employer - a voluntary organisation that support employers to support mental wellbeing at work.  Through this we will be looking to:

  • Raise awareness of mental health for all employees
  • Provide Mental health awareness training for line managers
  • Support Managers to assist staff with mental health
  • Support staff to keep well at work

If you would like support with your mental wellbeing, please speak to your Frontline Manager or contact the HR Team at MacIntyre Central Office.  Telephone 01908 230100.

Alternatively Mindful Employer are able to provide support to employees – please visit their website - http://www.mindfulemployer.net/employees
